FilmMerton emerged as an exciting proposal in 2017; winning a Cultural Impact Award from London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan in February 2018. Merton Council has put in the lion’s share of the money and support we need to make it happen. Merton’s newly formed Cultural Advisory Group has worked tirelessly to consult, to dream, to fundraise and get us to this exciting point.
